The best resume builders now leverage the power of AI to streamline the resume creation process. In 2025, AI has revolutionized how we approach job applications, eliminating the need for weeks of manual effort. With the increasing popularity of AI-powered resume builders, crafting a professional resume is now faster and more efficient than ever before.
You are able to edit, print and share for affordable prices. You can use AI to your advantage and build entire flows, giving your resume a fresh look and feel daily… if you wish.
I took a look at over 15 Resume builders, but these are the top 7 in terms of what worked/what didn't while doing the resume build. I used this resume as my standard resume across all sites to determine my score, identify needed improvements, and gather any other information these sites might find.
Rezi comes in at number one on our list, along with lots of others, and for good reason. They have the most comprehensive database of information compared to other ones.
You can do so many things with Rezi, but one of the best features is the ability to build from scratch.
Easy, upload your resume and get started with editing it right away.

After uploading your resume, you can head right into the editing portion of the resume builder. This part is advanced, and even in the free version, you get tons of features. One feature I love is the auto-adjust. If you've been doing resumes for a while, you know how annoying it is to change the text to fit the page. Rezi does it with one click.

They provide you with guidance throughout the entire process, helping you improve your score with each change. They have analyzed so many resumes that they know what will work and what won't. So their Rezi score allows them to determine what needs improvement.

For every resume builder we uploaded, this resume was used. Rezi ranked my ChatGPT prompt resume a 77. Not bad.

The free features get you a decent output (proper resume formatting, spacing, content, plus a few suggestions along the way) but if you want to get the complete experience, upgrading is the way to go.
Pricing is different than others on the list as they don't charge weekly. It starts with a monthly plan to nice lifetime access. But also hope you won't need lifetime, as you won't need to look for a job often!

Overall, Rezi is a good product and provides everything that you would need to build a proper resume.
Kickresume really gives you everything you need to jumpstart your job search. They don't have all the bells and whistles as Rezi, but they do a good job.
One of the cool things I love about KickResume is that you can edit your resume inline with their built-in AI. It's easy to use, and with the click of a button, you have a fresh new section ready to accept or deny.

The templates are good. With over 40 templates to choose from. After uploading your resume, you can select a template, and Kickresume will auto-fill all your details. A nice feature to have, as it eliminates the adjustments we see on Rezi. But you are, of course, able to edit if needed.

A quick suggestion. Don't ever use the template that I chose for this example. I feel that a plain resume is way better than anything else (no background, black text, etc.). I am no professional, so take it how you wish.
Another cool feature that Kickresume has nailed is the flow.

There are very few steps, making it simple to follow along. A feature that, as someone who is just trying to make little tweaks to my resume, makes me happy.
If you are looking for a no-fluff resume builder, then resume.io is your tool. They have the easiest design for onboarding, and the entire process is smooth.
They don't have all the bells and whistles that other resume builders have, but they focus on the simple tasks you would need from them. You can upload your resume quickly, and Resume.io gets to work building it out.
One feature that I'm obsessed with is how easily you can change designs. They have built-in templates that just work fast. You can adjust the style, colors, and font in seconds instead of hours.

That's not all; they have also integrated nicely with AI, allowing you to ask AI to regenerate content for you. You can ask it to polish it up, fix errors, and even provide more advanced prompts, such as improving the entire resume.

You get recommendations that you can use to edit your resume. This is a nice feature that allows you to edit on the fly while also providing valuable information. All done directly on the working screen you were using.
The AI rewrite is another good feature that provides you with instant recommendations based on the content you added. For the below example, I want to polish up some content. It auto-generated everything and shared with me what I needed to improve upon.

The nice thing about this is that you can apply the changes, and it automatically updates your resume for you in real time. No worrying about copying and pasting.
Pricing is reasonable $2.95 for a 7-day pass. The only way to download the document is by paying for it. You really get a steal for this price, with over 500 professional resumes.

You can also get your resume sent to recruiters, making it more seamless for you to get hired! One thing that has happened, and other users have complained about, is the templates. Not every single one exports to Google Docs. Which isn't horrible if you don't need to edit it ever again.
If you pick the $2.95, make sure to cancel your subscription before the 7 days are up, or you will be charged $29.
The job-seeking section is well-designed, making it easier to hunt for jobs with its excellent UI. This isn't a prominent feature, and the 50 recruiters they send you each week might give you a headache more than help, but it's a good way to track your jobs.

Overall, Resume.io is a good resume builder with fully built-in AI. The pricing is reasonable for the 7 days, allowing you to produce high-quality resumes in minutes, all for less than a cup of coffee.
Teal HQ is one of the resume builders I personally used while looking for jobs. They have the best career-focused templates I've seen, and as long as you aren't using any premium templates or features, you can download them without paying.

The problem with not using any premium services is that you aren't getting much help. You can pretty much just format your resume, change the color, font, etc., without a premium, which is good, unlike the other resume builders. You also get minimal access to AI. For example, I wanted to redo a section with bullets, and it allowed me to do so.

It doesn't tell you how many regenerations you have, and when I looked at the site, I couldn't find out how many you get with the free version. The good news is that with the paid version, you can do unlimited. Teal doesn't give you any AI assistance without upgrading.
The plans are reasonable, starting at $13/week or $29/month. If you are looking for a straightforward, no BS resume builder, then Teal is definitely for you. You can even get some free AI generations of your different sections without having to pay, which is a nice bonus.
They are more geared towards business professionals. As you can see, the resumes aren't crazy; they are plain and simple.
The job seeker section is good. One of the better ones on the list. They pull from a few different sources, keeping the jobs coming in all the time.

They provide you with a Match score, which is a nice feature. For premium users, you'll receive more keywords to help you update your resume for that job. That being said, the job seeker is really the main feature in Teal.

As you can see from the quick demo above. You can find a job you want. Add it to your queue, edit it in real time with your resume. Update bullets and content to get a higher match score. With just 5 minutes of work, you can go from a 20% to a 30%. Now, just imagine this on a scale.
If you are a professional seeking various roles and want to customize your resume for each one, then Teal is a good resume builder for you. Plus, as mentioned before, they cater to a more professional style, so no bells and whistles in your resume.

Enhancv is a straightforward, no-questions-asked resume builder. They don't even make you sign up to see what they can do for you. This is for someone in a rush or just someone who isn't willing to fork up another $15 for another resume builder right away. It allows you to see precisely what they do.

They allow you to improve the entire resume without logging in. But if you want to get anything more, you will have to log in. You get a good feeling of what you can do with this resume builder, without ever having to add your email address. But you do have to pay to download it.

They have a nice feature of pushing you to upgrade. They don't share with you what mistakes are there, while in others, they auto-generated new ones for me without me having to pay.

Adding new sections, editing the resume, and tailoring it to your liking are all easy to do. They make it dead simple to improve your resume.
Pricing is a little crazy because it's $19/month, but you have to commit to a quarter, so it's really $59…
They don't have any connections to Job boards, so you have to upload the jobs you are tracking manually.

Overall, it's a solid resume builder with valuable features, and it gets the job done. I would have liked to see it priced lower than the others on this list.

Wonsulting has the best UI of the bunch on this list, making it extremely easy to see how your resume looks, feels, and works.
You can edit your bullets in the free version, along with a few other features. But they don't have much editing to do unless you upgrade to the paid plan, which is $19/month. But Wonsulting is more of an all-in-one resume builder. They have tons of features that others on this list don't have.

You can use their cold email/LinkedIn messaging service, allowing you to get help throughout the entire process. They even help you find emails from recruiters, top executives, and more. So you can see the right person to talk to and get hired faster.
The job board does a good job filtering out jobs you may not want, along with providing you with the best jobs that match your resume. It is only for the US right now, but it is a great aggregator of employment.

Another feature I love is the job tracker feature. Unlike anyone on this list, they have made it very easy for you to track your jobs. How? They connect directly with your Gmail account and search for applications and add them directly to your tracker for you. If you are like me and applying to 100s of jobs a month, this makes it very easy to keep track of what is going on.

Finally, they have an Interview AI. It's very advanced and covers all the areas you might be interviewed about. 1st round, 2nd round, and so on. It even lets you share your screen and do a mock interview, asking you all the questions while on video and making it seem 100% real.
All of this for only $19/month is a steal. But they aren't for everyone because they focus more on coaching you, helping you get hired, and then really building out your resume. They have focused more on other aspects of Resume features like job tracker, interview prep, and networking/outreach. The AI-generated content isn't the greatest for a resume, and I found it a bit too wordy at times. There are better pure resume editors out there.
My Perfect Resume is precisely as it says. It creates a perfect resume for you because it takes you step by step through the entire process to generate/make the best possible resume for you. You can edit with AI, change fonts, layouts, and more, all while going through the process step by step.

If you are looking for a resume builder that helps you along every step, this may be the builder for you.
You are guided step by step to ensure that everything on your resume is correct. You can even edit in real time with AI, adding bullets, correcting grammar, and much more.

This allows you to edit everything in real time while also maintaining the overall structure of what you are building towards.
After you complete the entire workflow, you are then brought to the payment page. Pricing isn't terrible, and they are one of the cheapest on the list at only $2.95 for 14 days.

They have a simple job aggregator that you can use to see jobs that will match your resume. It's good, but it's not as advanced as the others on the list. You can view the position and apply for jobs similar to those of other job builders.
Other than the few AI edits you get when first creating the resume (with bullet points), everything else is locked behind a paywall, even downloading your resume. This is fine because the price point for this resume builder is excellent at only $2.95. It makes it worth paying for and getting full use out of the resume builder.
Paying unlocks all features, and since it's the lowest priced on the list for most of the time, it really makes it a steal in terms of quality. The AI bullet generator, along with the AI rephrasing, does a good job without it seeming too much.
Overall, My Perfect Resume provides a perfect resume at a low, affordable price. If you need a step-by-step review of your resume and simple job seeker features, then the $3 you spend here will go a long way.
