CalBar
Access your macOS Calendar events instantly from the Menu Bar without switching apps. Supports all services (Google, Outlook) and keeps all data local for privacy.
This is a native macOS utility designed for users who need quick, distraction-free access to their schedule. It displays events directly in the Menu Bar, eliminating the need to open or switch to the full Calendar application just to check upcoming meetings.
CalBar offers essential functionality for maintaining workflow continuity:
- Always Visible: Stays in the Menu Bar, providing glanceable access without cluttering the dock or desktop.
- Instant Event Access: One click reveals the full schedule. Clicking any listed event opens it directly in the native macOS Calendar app for editing or viewing details.
- Universal Calendar Support: Integrates seamlessly with any service configured in your macOS Calendar, including iCloud, Google Calendar, Outlook, and Exchange.
A major focus is privacy. The application reads your calendar data locally using Apple's EventKit framework; no data is sent to external servers, tracked, or collected. It requires macOS 14.0 (Sonoma) or later and runs natively on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
